Kelp is a type of brown-colored seaweed that grows along the ocean and is usually dried and ground into a powder, as it is in our 500mg Kelp tablets. Kelp is a rich source of iodine, which is required for the body's synthesis of the thyroid hormone which controls the rate of metabolism. Kelp also contains vitamins D, E, K, and B-complex, as well as calcium, iron, potassium, and magnesium.

Kelp may combat stress and increase energy levels by way of the vitamin B contained within it. The iodine may help with weight loss, and of course the calcium provided helps strengthen bones. Kelp has been used for managing high blood pressure, constipation, thyroid conditions, flatulence, and radiation sickness.
