Pycnogenol is a patented extract that is made from Maritime Pine tree, a pine native to the western and southwestern Mediterranean region. The Maritime Pine is a good source of flavonoids, catechins, proanthocyanidins, and phenolic acids which are found in the patented extract Pycnogenol.As a source of flavonoids, Pycnogenol is a natural antioxidant and anti-inflammatory protecting the body from harmful free radicals, boosting the immune system, and strengthening blood vessel walls and capillaries. It is used to improve symptoms in a wide variety of ailments, such as relieving painful menstrual periods (dysmenorrhea), replenishing the skin with moisture to improve your complexion, calming leg cramps, and helping with erectile dysfunction and male infertility. The strongest evidence to date points to Pycnogenol possibly improving symptoms related to asthma, chronic venous insufficiency, high blood pressure, and retinopathy.
Pycnogenol is believed to be 50 times more effective than vitamin E which is known for helping prevent the effects of aging on skin by fighting wrinkles, for keeping skin taut, and aiding in the healing of scars and scar tissue. no more cramps
I started taking Pycnogenol because it helped my best friend with her cramps during that special time, and got excited about it when my skin started to look better too. I did a little research on this product and found out it actually does a lot of good stuff!

I always take vitamin c because I have a weak immune system and it helps keep me from getting sick so much. I read up about pycnogenol and found it is supposed to be 20 times stronger than vitamin c. I switched. I need the extra immune support!
